Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Gift Registry Assistant to support the financial management and reconciliation of donations. This role is ideal for someone with strong accounting skills and experience in financial data management.

The position is set to commence ASAP and will be full-time for an initial duration of 12 weeks with a pay rate of £18.43 per hour + holiday pay.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Reconcile donation control accounts and ensure timely fund releases.
  • Process journals for donation income transfers, ensuring correct accounting treatment.
  • Maintain the designation hierarchy within DARS and liaise with finance and legal teams.
  • Respond to queries from donors, departments, and finance colleagues.
  • Support financial reporting, including quarterly income recognition and tax returns.
  • Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation.
  • Deliver training and process overviews to development staff.
Selection Criteria:
  • Degree-level education or equivalent work experience.
  • Part-qualified in CIMA, ACCA, CIPFA, or similar.
  • Strong technical accounting skills, including balance sheet reconciliation.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong Excel and IT skills, with experience handling large datasets.
  • Exceptional communication and teamwork abilities, with a customer-focused approach.
