Job description
Prospero Teaching are looking to recruit an excellent Teaching Assistant to work within a fantastic secondary school in the Liverpool area!
The strongest applicant will have confidence in Mathematics, English and a subject of their choice whilst also working well with children.
- Location – L25
- Type of work – Long Term
- Start date – 22nd April 2025
- Contract type – Long-term Temporary
- Full time/part time – Full time
- Pay: Paid to scale
- Hours – 8:30 am – 3:30 pm
- Assisting with lessons: Helping to prepare materials, setting up equipment, and supporting students during activities.
- Behaviour management: Helping to maintain a positive learning environment by addressing behavioural issues and encouraging good behaviour.
- Marking and assessment: Assisting with the marking of students’ work and recording grades.
- Record keeping: Maintaining records of students’ progress and any other relevant documentation.
- Providing emotional support: Offering guidance and support to students who may be dealing with personal issues or stress.
- Monitoring well-being: Keeping an eye on students’ overall well-being and reporting any concerns to the appropriate staff members.
- Teaching Assistant qualification or higher/equivalent (Desirable)
- Previous experience working with young people.
- Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable however not essential as some training is provided)
- Hold Right to Work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application.
- Provide two professional references.
