ScottishPower General Services Estates are recruiting a Senior Estates Building Surveyor to join our dynamic team and contribute to the maintenance and development of our infrastructure. To provide Building Surveying advice across UK ScottishPower Group assets including owned, leased and third party rights over land in order to maximise value and mitigate risk.
What you’ll do
Reporting to the Land & Estates Manager, you’ll work on multiple projects simultaneously with various stakeholders and provide professional advice, information and guidance on building surveying challenges. Duties will include:
What you’ll bring
Experience of working within a Surveying practice preferable, with ability to provide timely and professional advice, information and guidance on building surveying issues across complex property portfolio to maximise its value.
Years of experience in building surveying with a focus on commercial or industrial properties and good working knowledge of building regulations, health & safety standards and sustainability practices.
Be a member of the RICS/MCIOB qualification.
A degree in Building Surveying, Construction Management or a related field including considerable project management experience.
A customer centric approach to everything you do. You’ll be a good communicator, comfortable liaising with stakeholders at all levels and positively influence, negotiate and use probing questions to reach a positive outcome.
A full driving licence is required for this role.
