Job description

JOB TITLE: Cleaning Operative Supervisor

LOCATION: National Galleries

PAY RATE: £14.22 ph

HOURS: 42 Hours

Monday to Thursday 11am - 9pm and Friday 5pm - 9pm

OVERVIEW OF JOB DESCRIPTION

Working supervisor/day janitor role that includes cleaning duties.

Supervising of Cleaning office/art gallery premises for prestigious Client, includes washrooms, kitchens, and any surrounding areas.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Supervising of staff, stock ordering, payroll, inventory list management
  • Hoovering/mopping, cleaning washrooms and kitchens
  • Carrying out deep cleans as required and using buffers and carpet cleaners – training provided
  • Ensuring premises are safe and disinfected regularly
  • Removing waste, replenishing consumables and supplies, and attending to reactive jobs (spillages)
  • Customer Service while working alongside Client and Client’s staff

Person Specification:

  • Must be well presented and a good communicator
  • Must have a can-do attitude and polite and approachable demeanor
  • Hardworking and proactive with a good timekeeping and attendance record

Essential:

  • Previous cleaning experience preferred with focus on supervising work and prioritizing workload
  • Strong customer service/care and leadership skills
  • Problem-solving and time management skills desired
  • Ability to work to set schedules and on own initiative
  • Flexible and proactive attitude essential
  • Understanding & knowledge of health and safety policies
  • Needs to represent ABM values on site by being presentable, uniformed, and helpful at all times
  • Always follow Company Policies and procedures
  • Ensure that the work environment and equipment are safe and well maintained
  • Identify and correct hazardous conditions

HEALTH & SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Always follow Group and company policies and procedures.
  • Report any apparent deficiencies in systems of work or equipment provided that may result in failure of service delivery or risk to health and safety or the environment.
  • Use all work equipment and personal PPE properly and in accordance with training received.
  • Report any issues or training needs to your Line manager and/or via your divisional incident reporting system.
