Job title: Modern Foreign Language Teacher
Location: Eastleigh, Hampshire
Salary: £30,000 - £46,535 per annum (Depending on experience).
Start time: After Easter 2025 or September 2025
Contract Type: Full-Time (Permanent/Fixed Term) (Part-time available for the right candidate)

GSL Education are seeking an adaptable and enthusiastic Modern Foreign Language Teacher to work across secondary schools in Eastleigh, Hampshire.

We invite applications from Qualified Teachers (QTS/ECT), overseas-trained educators, or experienced Teaching Assistants/Cover Supervisors seeking to move into a teaching role.

About The Role:

As a Modern Foreign Language Teacher, you will play a key role in fostering a love for languages and cultural awareness among students. You will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons that encourage students to develop their linguistic skills and confidence in communication.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Delivering high-quality MFL lessons in line with the national curriculum.
2. Inspiring students to develop their speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills.
3. Creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment for students of all abilities.
4. Assessing student progress, providing detailed feedback and tailored support.
5. Supporting students with SEN and EAL needs through differentiated instruction.
6. Collaborating with colleagues to enhance the language curriculum and share innovative teaching practices.
7. Contributing to the school community through extracurricular activities, language clubs, and cultural events.

The successful candidate will:

1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or be an Early Career Teacher (ECT).
2. Applications from overseas-trained teachers who meet UK teaching standards are encouraged.
3. Experienced Teaching Assistants or Cover Supervisors looking to step into teaching will also be considered.
4. Proficiency in at least one modern foreign language (such as French, Spanish, or German).
5. A strong passion for language learning and cultural appreciation.
6. Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
7. A commitment to inclusive and engaging teaching.
8. Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years, barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
