Bardney Group Parish Council - Vacancy for Clerk/RFO

Bardney Group Parish Council has a vacancy for a Clerk/RFO.

This role is office-based at Bardney Group Parish Council. The Parish Council's responsibilities include cemetery management, allotments, grass cutting, and village maintenance.

The role requires the ability to set agendas for full council and sub-committees and attend all appropriate council meetings. Candidates should possess good communication and people skills, excellent written and verbal skills, a solid knowledge of bookkeeping and budget planning, and the ability to meet deadlines. Good organisational skills and proficiency with IT, including website updates, are essential. Candidates must demonstrate knowledge of local government procedures, finance, and law, and have the willingness to attend relevant LALC clerk training courses and seminars as required by the council. Attendance at additional evening or daytime meetings may also be necessary, along with a willingness to undertake any other duties as may be reasonably required from time to time.

Salary: Salary scale dependent on experience and in accordance with NJC National pay scales. (£14.60 - £19.86 per hour).

Hours: 20 hours per week.
