Job description

Holland Fen with Brothertoft Parish Council - Vacancy for a Clerk/RFO

Applications are invited for the part-time position of Clerk/RFO to Holland Fen and Brothertoft Parish Council.

Working from home, you will be provided with a council laptop. The council holds 6 meetings a year.

Hours: 3 hours per week.

Duties include:

  1. Ensuring the council conducts its business lawfully
  2. Look after all the council’s paperwork
  3. Managing the council’s finances, including preparing the precept/budget
  4. Ensuring meeting papers are properly prepared and posted within the correct period of time
  5. Actioning the council’s decisions
  6. Keeping up to date on legal and procedural issues
  7. Undertaking appropriate training
  8. Attend meetings of the Parish Council

Skills required include:

  1. Good IT
  2. Experience of Microsoft Office
  3. Good written and verbal communication skills
