EMEA Head of Security

Working for a prestigious client in the Banking sector and reporting to the Regional Account Director, the EMEA Head of Security's primary responsibility is to define and drive the strategic direction of the ISS Security Service across EMEA, ensuring robust governance while supporting the client’s business objectives and strategic vision.

Job Description

The Head of Security will play a crucial role in fostering strong relationships with key stakeholders, including senior management at the client, ISS leadership, and external security partners.

This role requires a proactive approach to identifying emerging security trends and ensuring that best practices are embedded across all EMEA locations.

Additionally, the Head of Security will be responsible for maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements, conducting regular security audits, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Strong leadership skills are essential to cultivate a culture of security awareness, ensuring that all security personnel are well-trained and equipped to manage potential threats effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Devise, embed and drive the applied operational security strategy
  • Implementation of dashboard data to cover all aspects of the IFM security management for EMEA
  • Introduction of latest security innovation and technology
  • ISS security risk management (physical security risk assessments)
  • Physical security SME liaison point for ISS EMEA Country leads
  • Oversight and quality assurance of ISS security business assurance checks
  • Develop physical security dashboard reporting to enhance the completeness and accuracy of data, via Tririga physical security dashboard
  • Identify and assess physical security risk(s)
  • Establish robust operating procedures and controls performed (not limited to ISS, but inclusive of any third-party vendors)
  • Monitor and track relevant security threats - intervening or escalating as appropriate
  • Conduct security reviews for testing and assurance validations across all ISS lines of operation performed

Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications

  • Experience of working as a Head of Security, Security Director (or similar role) either within the Facilities Management sector or for a blue chip organisation
  • Service and customer oriented, with commercial mindset to grow service related revenue, maximise efficiency and profitability
  • Experience of leading and motivating a team
  • Comfortable when dealing with administration, budgeting, financial management, reporting and performance management (SLA management and KPI reporting)
  • Influencing and communication skills
  • Decisive and action oriented – able to see possibilities and drive change
  • Good coaching skills to empower others to deliver
  • Experience of reviewing, critiquing and writing SOP’s
  • IT & Data – good understanding of how to leverage technology and data as a tool for driving continuous improvement and ensuring compliance
