The role:

Huguenots is a business that has established an excellent reputation in the market and is now growing quickly, winning new clients and launching new product streams. As we grow, we are investing across all teams to build greater depth and are now looking for an experienced, but hands-on Cyber and Information Security Lead to join our Technology Team. This is a rare opportunity for an ambitious self-starter in a fast-paced financial technology firm.

In this role, you will have the opportunity early on to manage and own projects. You will report directly to senior management and your role will involve high-level engagement with the infrastructure and information security teams at our clients (major fund management companies). The role will require you to be hands-on, taking ownership of our Information Security Management System as well as ensuring the security of our office based infrastructure and AWS cloud hosted environments. The firm is working towards ISO27001 certification and once achieved you will be responsible for maintaining it.

This is an onsite role (5 days a week), based at our prestigious offices in the heart of the City of London. Across our business, all teams are office-based with a highly collaborative culture and universally strong technical skillset. You will therefore find yourself surrounded by subject matter experts, enabling you to quickly develop a strong understanding of our products and the asset management industry, if new to the sector.

Key responsibilities:

• Overseeing critical aspects such as Firewall management, Privileged Access Management (PAM), Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), and Patch management.
• Writing and reviewing technical documentation, ensuring documents are written to a high standard, are clear for readers, and can be easily understood for auditing purposes.
• Establishing, implementing, maintaining and continually improving business information security.
• Servicing of security systems in line with industry best practice and compliance with ISO27001 standards, GDPR and internal company policies.
• Working with external and internal teams to ensure a consistent security approach.
• Building a Secure by Design culture.

Our offering is a sophisticated business-to-business solution that often requires integration with multiple third party systems, so we would expect you to come from an environment and have experience in the following:

• Management of security for both high-availability office based infrastructure and AWS cloud hosting environments.
• Monitoring system performance and troubleshooting live issues.
• Collaboration with our Engineering and Technology Teams to optimise application performance, scalability, and security.

About you:

• Excellent written and spoken communication in English.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to various stakeholders.
• High professional standards with a strong eye for detail.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience as an information security/infrastructure specialist.
• University degree in a relevant field.
