Job Title: Marketing Manager

Job Description

Overview

The EMEA/MENA Event Marketing Manager plans and executes the company's promotional strategy for B2B and B2C events and associated activities, where they relate to our new territories, under the guidance of the overall Marketing Manager. You will help plan and manage email marketing content, event website updates, social media output, and marketing meetings while working with the board on strategy development. The role involves tracking marketing schedules, driving ticket sales, innovating ideas for conferences and awards, and implementing best practices. They collaborate closely with event content and editorial teams to ensure effective information flow, receiving support from management, logistics, and other departments as needed.

Job specifics - the Event Marketing Manager’s responsibilities:

Your key priorities will be:

  1. Growing the awareness of our new event EMEA/MENA/Asia in the games industry.
  2. Ensure ticket registrations for our events and aim to grow numbers.

The role will naturally evolve with market trends and changing focus in the company, but the initial focus would be:

  1. Lead and evolve the general marketing strategy, using data to identify new opportunities and develop ideas in partnership with the team and senior management.
  2. Manage the event marketing team and coordinate with other departments (events/sales) through regular calls.
  3. Build and implement a promotional communications plan, including MailChimp mailers and press releases for PR contacts.
  4. Oversee the marketing calendar to ensure coordinated promotional output across events and maintain core shared documents.
  5. Supervise content creation across channels:
    Stories and ads on media channels (working with freelance writers), social media content (speaker cards, sponsor shouts, content highlights), event pages and listings on PGConnects.com, media partnerships and other marketing activities.
  6. Manage sponsor and partner relationships, responding to their marketing and promotional requests.
  7. Track campaign performance and provide regular reporting on social media, event editorial, and mailer metrics.
  8. Lead internal communications through marketing calls and cross-departmental meetings as needed.

About You

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in marketing management and team leadership.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in SEO and social media management.
  • Familiarity with WordPress and MailChimp.
  • Excellent analytical and project management abilities.
  • Competence in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
