Senior Content Marketing Manager
Department: Marketing
Employment Type: Full Time
Location: United Kingdom
Reporting To: VP of Marketing
Description
Hey I’m Kristin, VP of Marketing at Pinpoint. We’re a high-growth, bootstrapped start-up selling software that helps in-house recruitment teams attract, hire, and onboard the right talent. Today, we have a strong foundation in place, with a mature product, rapid growth, strong product-market fit, and happy customers.
In 2025, content will be a pillar of our marketing strategy across digital marketing, events, and customer marketing. We’re hiring a Senior Content Marketing Manager to create compelling content that fuels marketing campaigns, celebrates customer success stories, and helps us stand out in a crowded market.
The fine print (but way more exciting)
- This is a remote role, but we’re looking for someone based in the UK who can attend in-person meetings, events, and training as needed.
- You’ll be our only dedicated Content Marketer—meaning you’ll get to own content, have variety in your work, and move quickly.
- Customer storytelling is a priority. You’ll regularly interview customers and turn their insights into case studies, guides, event speeches, and more.
- Speed matters. We expect you to move fast and produce high-quality content efficiently—case studies drafted within a week of interviews, 2-3 pieces of content published per week, etc.
- We need creativity, not clichés. This is a competitive space. We don’t win by doing what everyone else does—we win by standing out.
About the Role:
Your work will be a blend of customer storytelling, marketing content creation, and planning. A typical week might look like:
- Customer Storytelling (2 days per week)
Interview customers who are doing exciting things with Pinpoint and turn their insights into compelling case studies, how-to guides, templates, videos, slide decks, and event presentations. - Marketing Content Creation (2 days per week)
Develop content that fuels marketing campaigns, including landing pages, newsletters, social media posts, and sales enablement materials. - Planning & Collaboration (1 day per week)
Manage the content calendar, track content performance, identify new storytelling opportunities from customer data, and collaborate with internal teams.
Your content will play a critical role in driving demo bookings, pipeline growth, and brand awareness among target accounts.
About You:
- 3+ years of professional writing experience, with hands-on writing—not just editing or project management
- Versatile writer—able to craft both long-form articles and short-form copy (social, email, landing pages)
- Strong interviewer—comfortable speaking with customers or subject matter experts and turning insights into compelling content
- Data-literate storyteller—skilled at weaving narratives from customer insights and data
- Project management skills—able to juggle multiple deadlines and move fast
- Conversational, engaging writing style—no corporate jargon, no fluff
- Curious and proactive—eager to ask questions, uncover great stories, and take action without overcomplicating things
- Fast-paced and adaptable—thrives in a high-growth startup where priorities shift
Bonus points if you:
- Have experience in a startup or fast-paced, high-output environment.
- Bring design or video skills to enhance content creation.
- Have used AI tools to streamline content production while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Understand digital marketing or demand generation principles.
What does success look like in this role?
- First 30 days: Complete onboarding, publish your first written pieces, and conduct your first customer interview with manager support.
- First 60 days: Expand into a broader range of content, show clear improvement in writing style and industry knowledge.
- First 90 days: Independently produce and publish a variety of content types with minimal edits, fully adopt our brand voice, and run customer interviews solo.
- First 6 months: Bring fresh ideas to elevate our content strategy, be seen as an expert, and serve as a resource for the wider team.
How will my performance be measured?
- Marketing impact – Our team drives demo bookings, pipeline growth, and brand awareness with key accounts. Your content will directly contribute to these goals.
- Speed & efficiency – For example, getting case studies back to customers for approval quickly to keep them engaged in the project.
- Content output – We'd expect a typical week to look like publishing 2 content pieces plus recycling them into social posts, sales deck slides, updates to internal documentation and training, and any other way of getting additional value out of the content.
- Performance metrics – We'll track the results of individual content pieces through metrics like email open/click rates, social media engagement, etc.
- Competencies – All Marketing team members receive quarterly reviews on expectations for competencies at their level, for example initiative and project management.
