New Business Development Manager (BBBH10502) Scotland

Salary: GBP40000 - GBP50000 per annum + 30% commission

We are delighted to be partnering with Octo Insurance Brokers – a dynamic, client-focused insurance brokerage with a mission to provide tailored insurance solutions that protect and empower.

In this newly created role as New Business Development Manager, we’re looking for individuals with a solid grounding in the insurance industry and a genuine passion for new business.

  • Extensive business development experience within the insurance space is essential
  • Demonstrated success in cold outreach and new client acquisition
  • In-depth knowledge of the SME insurance market
  • Experience in building and maintaining client relationships in a B2B environment
  • Strong commercial acumen
  • Cert CII qualification (minimum), with progress towards Dip CII or ACII preferred

You will be...

  • Leading our new business acquisition efforts through proactive sales strategies including cold outreach and networking
  • Developing and executing targeted campaigns to acquire new commercial/property clients – with a particular focus on business with £500k to £15m turnover
  • Attending industry events to generate leads and build a robust sales pipeline
  • Providing expert advice across a range of commercial products with an emphasis on property insurance
  • Converting high-quality leads generated through professional network
  • Collaborating with internal teams to design bespoke solutions for clients
  • Day-to-day line management duties of a small team
