Job description

We are recruiting on behalf of a global multinational in the construction sector, renowned for its expertise in engineering and supplying advanced reinforcement metal solutions for concrete structures. With a strong presence across multiple markets, the company is looking to strengthen its business development efforts in the United Kingdom by bringing on board a dynamic and results-driven National Sales Director.

As National Sales Director, you will be responsible for driving business growth in the UK market. Reporting directly to the UK Country Manager, your primary focus will be to identify and seize new business opportunities within the construction industry. This role is 100% remote within the UK, requiring constant travel to meet clients, visit construction sites, and occasionally attend the company’s production facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement a strategic business development plan to expand the company’s footprint in the UK construction sector.
  2. Leverage an existing network of contacts within UK construction companies to promote the company’s services and solutions.
  3. Identify and pursue new business opportunities, building strong relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers in the industry.
  4. Conduct regular client visits to understand their needs and present tailored solutions that align with the company’s offerings.
  5. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless delivery of services and maintain high levels of client satisfaction.
  6. Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to enhance brand visibility.
  7. Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and client feedback to adapt strategies and maintain a competitive edge.
  8. Provide regular reports on sales performance, pipeline development, and market insights to senior management.
Requirements
  1. Proven experience as a Sales Manager or Business Development professional within the construction sector.
  2. An established network of contacts with UK-based construction companies and key industry players.
  3. Strong understanding of the UK construction market, including its challenges, trends, and opportunities.
  4. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  5. Self-motivated and results-oriented, with the ability to work independently in a fully remote capacity.
  6. Willingness and availability to travel frequently across the UK to meet clients and visit production facilities.
  7. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
