Job description

BS3 Community Development is a well-established charity and community anchor organisation in south Bristol, working across two sites at the Southville Centre in Southville and the Chessel Centre in Bedminster. Our mission is to improve the health, wellbeing, happiness and sense of belonging of those people who work, live and visit in the BS3 postcode area of south Bristol. Our team members are amazing, and we work together every day to this end through our community centres, café, community activities and nurseries.

We’re currently looking for a Receptionist to cover a maternity leave and work with our Centre Manager to realise our mission.

Are you a person who likes to greet people and be the first person they see to welcome them as they enter a community centre?

Are you a skilled communicator who can answer queries, find out information and lead people through processes?

Are you a team player who can work with and co-ordinate others, be adaptable, approachable and problem-solve to ensure the smooth running of our buildings?

Location: The Southville Centre, Beauley Road, Bristol, BS3 1QG

Salary: £25,770.19 per annum for 37.5 hours/week (£13.18 per hour)

Contract Type: Fixed term from July 2025 for one year.

Hours: Full time 37.5 hours/week, including overtime available on evenings and weekends.

Holiday: 31 days annual leave (inclusive of Bank Holidays).
