As an Operations Specialist supporting a range of Equity and Fixed Income related trading activity, you’ll provide support to a group of trading desks based in London and the US. This is an opportunity to solve challenging problems while working closely with experienced traders and software engineers to choose the right tools and solutions for the job.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide support for OTC equity settlements with counterparties.
2. Work alongside traders to fully support execution workflow.
3. Ensure proper handling of corporate actions and related entitlements.
4. Provide support for Futures & Options, Fixed Income and Repo clearing.
5. Ensure accurate processing of trade lifecycle both internally and externally.
6. Investigate and resolve trade and position breaks with clearing firms and prime brokers.
7. Gain mastery of the firm’s proprietary trade capture and inventory management necessary to support each desk’s activity.
8. Act as process super-user for current systems, providing critical support and advice regarding needed enhancements to technology, workflows and processes necessary for the London operation.
9. Liaise with technical personnel to secure proper support and coverage for ongoing operations as well as procure enhancements for insufficient or new workflows.
10. Focus on process efficiency, risk reduction, and alignment with DRW standards.

Requirements:

1. Minimum of 3 years middle office/back office operations experience in European Equity settlements.
2. Strong European Equities OTC settlement experience.
3. Previous exposure to other products’ lifecycle (Fixed Income, Futures and Options, mainly).
4. A background in European equities; ideally with exposure to supporting other ancillary products at a proprietary trading firm, hedge fund or other buy-side organization.
5. Substantial prior interaction with the front office and senior management in an active trading environment.
6. Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, another quantitative field or material equivalent exposure.
7. Demonstrated ability to work independently and to analyze problems, synthesize and implement solutions thereto.
8. Demonstrated ability to own and navigate technical issues and interact successfully with technology personnel.
9. A strong background in MS Excel required.
10. VBA, Powerquery and Python preferred.
