About The Role

TFG Brands is a vibrant and growing Retail Group. We have premium brands across Fashion and Homeware including Phase Eight, Whistles, Hobbs and Inside Story and lofty ambitions to grow even more. Our central teams function provides the back office support to allow our brands to continue to flourish and with that in mind, we are now hiring a Management Accountant to work on the Stock and Payroll part of the business.

Your key duties and responsibilities as Management Accountant will include:

• Responsible for the monthly process for reporting stock and stock-related balances in the accounting system (Sun) for the entire TFG Group (all brands) including:
  • Stock on hand
  • COGS
  • Goods in transit
  • Stock provisions
  • Other stock adjustments
• Preparing balance sheet reconciliations for relevant balance sheet accounts (accruals, prepayments, capitalised freight costs)
• Providing monthly reporting to the business on stock balances as required
• Responsible for the monthly processing of payroll for central teams and store staff, including the ownership of bonus/incentive accruals, and investigating variances against budget/forecasts
• Supporting the team as required for other month end close processes and analysis
• Key audit contact, including providing support for audit queries
• Providing support for key statutory accounts notes and disclosures

About You

To be successful in the role of Management Accountant you will have the following skills and experience:

• CIMA / ACCA newly qualified
• Proficient in Excel (Sums, Pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.)
• Resilient, very well organised and able to manage own time and deadlines with minimal supervision
• Flexible and positive approach, prepared to get involved with new tasks / projects
• Collaborative, strong team player, prepared to oversee and help others in the team
• Strong professional communication skills
• Retail background and/or experience of multisite operations preferable, but not essential
• Ability to clearly demonstrate and align with our TFG values; We Care, We Create, We Collaborate, We Connect
