Curriculum & Standards Manager - Business

Hours: 37 hours per week
Salary: £49,506 per annum. Plus generous benefits. These include:

About the role
The Curriculum and Standards Manager (CSM) for Business will lead a team of staff to deliver high quality teaching, learning, and assessment in a range of vocational Business and Management qualifications, apprenticeships, and adult courses.

Under the direction of the Assistant Director for Business and Professional, the CSM will be a member of the College Leadership Team, will manage a diverse team and will be responsible for the delivery of all Business and Management courses. The CSM will provide all the necessary support and direction needed to deliver excellent teaching and learning, and manage the operational running of the curriculum area.

About the person
You will have significant experience in Business and/or Management, and will be able to bring industry experience into the curriculum area. You will also possess strong leadership skills that will make a difference for the benefit of staff and students. You will have experience of planning and delivering teaching or training, preferably in the subject area, and have experience of managing a team/department.

About the College
We are a large, regional college serving a population across York and North Yorkshire of more than one million people. Each year, we have approximately 4,000 school leavers, 1,000 apprentices, 2,000 adult students, and 400 higher-level students studying with us.

Our wide range of education options span entry level programmes through to degrees, higher technical qualifications, and accredited professional courses to courses for professional development. Our apprenticeships can be studied from level 2 to level 5 across a range of different career pathways. We are the largest provider of A-Level and vocational programmes for school leavers in the region; we offer nearly 35 A-Level subjects and over 80 vocational courses, including a wide range of T-Level pathways.

We are proud to be part of a consortium of colleges and employers developing the Yorkshire and Humber Institute of Technology (IoT), designed to increase higher level technical skills for employers.
