Job description

One of the leading High Speed Door manufacturers in the UK has a newly created opportunity for a Business Development Manager to join the business. The successful candidate will have support from the current Business Development Manager before they retire from the business. This really is a unique opportunity to join a world-class leader in their field. You will be working with a small specialist team who are on board to support you in ensuring you reach your own ambitions of growth and success within this field. They are looking to offer a basic salary circa £50k to £55k+ with an additional bonus scheme, car allowance (£650) or company car scheme, company pension scheme, 25 days holiday + bank holiday, buy and sell holiday scheme, recognition and wellbeing scheme, and ongoing training and development to support you in your role.


Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. The Business Development Manager will work with the Sales Manager to drive and develop sales within the High-Speed Door sector to achieve the specific KPI's outlined within the sales strategy.
  2. Review and assess enquiry documents to produce product quotations within the group CRM system to achieve the desired market price level.
  3. Work closely with the High-Speed Door Sales Manager to ensure we are supplying our best offer to the customer, maximizing opportunities of converting to order.
  4. Professionally represent the company to promote and enhance its reputation.
  5. Follow up allocated quotations with a view to securing sufficient order intake in line with individual targets. Communication commentary to be recorded within the group CRM system.
  6. Develop/maintain relations with new and existing customer base within target market sectors.
  7. Undertake and record site surveys for High-Speed Door products to ensure surveys are recorded accurately for both quotation integrity and comprehensive handover to the Operations Team.
  8. Contribute to the development of a sales plan focusing on target market segments with the aim of maximizing order intake and contributions across the customers' product range.
  9. Increase market awareness and promote the company's brand.
  10. Identify market opportunities and help design campaigns targeted at the HPD relevant market stakeholders.
  11. Present product innovations and project proposals to customers.
  12. Support sales team at exhibitions, conferences, and workshops.

Requirements:

  1. It is essential that candidates have experience in sales within High-Speed Doors. No other industries considered.
  2. Experienced Business Development Manager who has proven success in developing a customer base in the High-Speed Door sector.
  3. Experience in developing new business within this sector.
  4. Flexible in travel as this could involve some national travel and the occasional nights away from home.
  5. A good understanding of using CRM systems.
  6. Experienced in MS Office.
