A leading automotive engineering company in Germany seeks an Application Engineer – Powertrain Systems. You will be crucial in defining, validating, and ensuring compliance with system requirements for high-performing automated vehicles. Candidates should have several years of experience in HV battery or Electric Drive Unit calibration, solid understanding of powertrain systems, and proficiency with calibration tools. The role requires involvement in vehicle testing and willingness to travel for development activities.
As an Application Engineer – Powertrain Systems, you help shape vehicle performance and functional behavior from concept to road. You take ownership of defining, validating, and ensuring compliance with system requirements by translating vehicle-level targets, regulations, and standards into robust real-world solutions. Working at the intersection of powertrain systems, autonomous driving, software, and hardware, you ensure seamless integration into the vehicle architecture. From hands-on system validation and CAN-based analysis to supplier collaboration and issue resolution, you play a key role in bringing safe, reliable, and high-performing automated vehicles to life.
