• Operates the school Learning Commons and provides services in an automated/digital environment to meet the needs of staff and students.
• Promotes authors, books, literacy, technology and holds special events.
• Performs administrative functions associated with the Learning Commons and/or school.
• Coordinates volunteers’ activities.
• Performs other duties, as assigned by the supervisor.

• Degree/diploma in relevant field (i.e. Library Technician, Information Science, etc).
• 2 years of related experience.
• Expertise with Insignia (or similar library software systems), Google Suite, computer hardware and software, mobile technology, various AV equipment.
• Comfortable learning and promoting new technologies (3D printing, robotics, coding, cricut, etc.).
• Positive team player and ability to work independently as well.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
• Individuals who possess an equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered.
• The use of a personal vehicle may be required.

Status: Casual Library Technicians must be available to work on call during regular school hours.

Locations: Various schools.

Salary: Hourly wage of $31.64 plus 4% in lieu of vacation.
