Key Responsibilities
- Contribute towards a “Centre of Excellence” approach for implementing and driving Sourcing Strategies, Business Processes and Sourcing related Projects and Initiatives.
- Calendar Management in conjunction with Brand dedicated Strategic Sourcing strategies.
- Responsible for drawing up, implementing and managing specific projects e.g. Product Procurement Policy and Process and Fact-based Negotiation.
- Reacting and recommending changes to the Brands/ Sourcing Partners based on current and evolving Global and Local sourcing and manufacturing landscape aligned to the 4 C’s: capability; capacity; compliance and competence.
- Driving and supporting the implementation of new sourcing projects and best practice processes in partnership with Merchants, Sourcing Partners, QA, Supply Chain and key Suppliers and their associated factories.
- Coordinate and facilitate with the implementation of key sourcing projects.
- Develop and deliver project-specific content, progress reports, requirements, documentation and presentations.
- Develop and implement best practices and tools required for project/process execution and management thereof.
- Responsible for coordination, managing and driving delivery of COGS Savings Target for Fiscal Year.
- Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential challenges and devise contingency plans.
- Act as an inter-brand coordinator on aligned sourcing initiatives.
- Leverage on the global vendor database including Group level roll-up of capacity loadings and volume allocation.
- Central reporting function.
Qualifications And Experience
- An industry-related Degree/Diploma is essential.
- Minimum 15 years relevant experience within the Sourcing Industry with specific emphasis on both Local and International landscapes is essential.
- Proven track record in Leading Teams and Strategic Management.
- Must have experience in working in the landscape we are required to manage e.g. SADC: China and Bangladesh.
- Minimum 8 years Planning and Buying experience.
- Sound knowledge/experience of Social and Ethical Compliance methodologies/practices.
