Senior Financial Analyst - Scripps Health Plan Services

This is a Full-Time (80 hours every two weeks) benefited and salaried position working day shifts on Monday - Friday. This is a partial remote position and the candidate must be local in San Diego or willing to relocate.

Responsibilities:

The Financial Analyst Sr. performs the following for his/her assigned business unit(s) or areas of responsibility:

1. Perform financial analytics.
2. Propose journal entries as needed.
3. Update needed financial systems and schedules.
4. Facilitate and lead the operating and capital annual budget process.
5. Utilize financial reporting tools with in-depth knowledge of the financial systems.
6. Provide relevant financial data for financial planning and forecasting.
7. Perform special projects, performance improvements, and adhoc reports and analytics.

Required Experience/Specialized Skills:

• Requires 5 years financial analysis experience.
• An understanding of the rapidly changing health care industry with the ability to adapt progressively to change.
• Demonstrated highly developed analytical ability to understand complex financial activities.

Required Education/Course(s)/Training:

• A Bachelor's degree with Business emphasis preferred.

Preferred Experience/Specialized Skills/Education/Course(s)/Training:

• Healthcare experience preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance.
• Managed Care experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, specifically Access.
