KEY RESPONSABILITIES:
- Responsible for hierarchical performance of operators or teams operators in a distribution center/warehouse.
- Responsible for employee performance, development, engagement, and discipline of the department.
- Responsible for the performance of "standard work" within his or her sector or department.
- May occasionally fill in to assist LWB1 or LWB2 operators as needed.
- May be responsible for temporarily moving or shifting individual operators from one position or sector to another depending on changes in demand priorities.
MAIN ACTIVITIES:
- Enforce compliance with HSE and 5S rules throughout the sector, including reporting and managing incidents and near misses.
- Enforce compliance with the quality system and proper application of the defined processes and procedures to meet the required quality level.
- As supervisor, is responsible in case of accident.
- Optimize daily/weekly balance workload/resources (internal, external storage, and freight capacities).
- Adjust MPH.
- Ensure management of the logistics process: receiving goods, stocking, picking, material handling, shipping finished goods, and waste management.
- Synchronize support function actors on short-term actions.
- Organize the training needs of the teams and manage versatility in accordance with targets defined.
- Manage warehouse processes performance according to SPS/SIM rules and cycle events of the plant.
- Deploy & implement SC Planning central team guidelines for inventory management.
- Ensure inventory accuracy with permanent alignment between operations & inventory.
- Guarantee that service level, quality environment, process lead time, maintenance, and productivity goals are reached.
- Manage the yearly appraisal.
- Monitor and analyze logistic costs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in warehouse supervision.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish).
- Understand MRP, purchasing & planning bills.
- Sense of urgency and good follow-up skills.
- Well-developed communicative and administrative skills.
- Must possess analytical skills, investigative problem-solving techniques, and the ability to receive and give direction to accomplish job tasks.
- Understands inventory turns concept.
