About our client

We are currently working with a seasoned private equity real estate in Mexico with solid presence in the real estate sector. Our client is seeking a VP of strategy, portfolio management & transactions to oversee fund and debt raising, corporate finance, M&A and capital markets, as well as the investment portfolio management. This position is based in Mexico City.

What the job involves

1. Actively participate in capital raising and deal sourcing through the investment process until execution.
2. Work closely with senior management coordinating strategic planning and resource allocation.
3. Monitor and review reports on progress and performance of the fund.
4. Support the management team in overseeing strategy, budgeting, risk, talent, compensation, and M&A initiatives.
5. Take an active part in outlining and implementing the fund's future strategy.
6. Overlook and analyze assets' performance, ensuring the portfolio is on track, mitigating potential issues.
7. Represent the fund to the market, to partners, and to all applicable stakeholders and relevant authorities.
8. Build and maintain relationships through the real estate sector and liaise with internal teams.

Who we are looking for

1. Experience in the investment process from capital raising to execution.
2. Solid experience in M&A, portfolio management, and tax.
3. Strong skills in due diligence, financial modeling, and valuations.
4. Analytical, organized, and self-driven.
5. Attention to detail.
6. Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish.
