The Transfer Manager oversees project activities across production, engineering, maintenance, process, and quality.
Responsibilities:
Knowledge in Process and Product Engineering, working closely with R&D and Project Management on New Product Introduction (NPI) or Replication activities.
Direct and control the site’s technical area, determining priorities and providing technical (product and process) training to team members.
Provide the manufacturing team with support regarding continuous improvement in machine and equipment innovation.
Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental standards when undertaking any activity or change on the production floor.
Manage technical or process teams within the project budget and schedule.
Manage project plan tasks, including schedule, cost, and technical resources.
Support the project management office in effectively leading and developing the transfer team, demonstrating leadership competencies consistently.
Follow up on identified risks, develop mitigation plans, and communicate them to the PMO.
Participate in regular team meetings and direct appropriate communication to the PMO and strategic manufacturing team.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in related engineering or materials science or other relevant field.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication and presentation skills (both written and spoken).
5+ years of experience in relevant roles and responsibilities in a manufacturing/engineering environment (medical device manufacturing and assembly, disposables manufacturing processes and automation).
Proven working experience in project management preferably in medical industry and skills in project planning and management.
Strong organizational, leadership, interpersonal, and influencing skills and ability to work effectively with other product development team members.
Knowledge of biocompatibility testing and evaluation standards (ISO 10993, ISO 18562, MDR 2017/745, FDA Guidance 1811, etc.), preferable.
Extensive knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
Knowledge of statistical techniques (trend analysis, pareto, root cause analysis), preferable.
Experience in the medical industry and knowledge of ISO 13485.

This position will be based in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas.
