Your Role

  • As the Trade Marketing Manager, you will define and lead ZURU's trade marketing strategy in Mexico, ensuring alignment with the LATAM regional framework. You will focus on creating impactful in-store campaigns, managing merchandising operations, and driving excellence in retail execution. By collaborating across teams and with external partners, you will ensure that ZURU’s brand presence is optimized, enhancing consumer engagement and driving sales growth across all key accounts.
  • Your leadership will be critical to delivering operational excellence, maintaining efficient resource use, and continuously improving ZURU’s position in the market.

How You Will Make An Impact

  • Define strategy. You will be responsible to define the trade marketing execution strategy for the Mexican market aligned to the top priorities defined from the top management.
  • Deliver Results: Implement trade marketing plans to strengthen ZURU’s in-store visibility and increase sales.
  • Resource Optimization: Manage trade marketing budgets and resources effectively to maximize ROI.
  • Collaboration Excellence: Build strong partnerships with sales, marketing, and external stakeholders to ensure seamless execution.
  • Continuous Improvement: Innovate in-store initiatives and analyze competitor trends to identify growth opportunities.
  • Innovation & Growth: Lead in-store innovation and monitor competitive activities to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.

Core Roles And Responsibilities

  • Lead and train merchandising teams/agencies to maintain ZURU’s brand standards and ensure consistent execution at retail.
  • Develop and implement annual trade marketing plans, including in-store activations, POS displays, and promotional campaigns.
  • Monitor trade marketing KPIs (e.g., sell-through rates, visibility) and optimize strategies based on performance analysis.
  • Manage trade materials (POP displays, samples) and oversee showroom operations in Mexico.
  • Align trade marketing activities with sales, marketing, and operations teams to meet business goals.
  • Collaborate with LATAM marketing teams to ensure brand consistency across channels.
  • Optimize budgets and coordinate with vendors to deliver cost-effective, high-quality initiatives.
  • Analyze competitor activities and market trends to refine in-store strategies and enhance consumer engagement.
  • Maintain accurate records of trade marketing materials, activities, and inventory.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Experience: 5+ years in Trade Marketing, Merchandising Management, or a similar role, preferably within the toy industry or other seasonal category.
  • Merchandising Expertise: Demonstrated ability to manage and lead merchandising teams/agencies effectively.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills; experience with SAP or similar systems is a plus.
  • Language Skills: Fluency in English and Spanish is essential.
  • Project Management: Proven ability to manage multiple trade marketing and merchandising projects, budgets, and deadlines effectively.
  • Collaboration Skills: Strong cross-functional collaboration experience, with the ability to work seamlessly between marketing, sales, and external teams.
  • Creative Problem Solving: Capable of identifying challenges and developing innovative solutions to address them.
