ABOUT YOUR ROLE
The Trade Compliance Import Analyst is responsible for arranging daily import transactions while adhering to company and country policies, planning and implementing all strategies according to supplier and customer demands, and administering the movement of all goods while ensuring compliance with all government regulations.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

  • Manage daily imports (permanent and temporary regimes) activities such as letters of instructions to customs brokers, traceability of import paperwork for direct shipments (BOL/PL, certificates of origin) and company policies/government regulations.
  • Ensure that all import activities comply with the accepted rules and regulations of the organization.
  • Scrutinize shipping documents.
  • Address day-to-day customs issues by advising through customs brokers.
  • Verify custom duties and send pay order requests to Finance.
  • Observe and design import solutions that lead to achieving operational savings (fees and consolidated operations to lead paperless foreign trade operations).
  • Understand USMCA rules and certificates of origin, including the qualification process for finished goods.
  • Possess IMMEX knowledge and work alongside the Foreign Trade Supervisor to automate the information going into Annex 24.
  • Handle HTS classification intake for Mexico and the USA, collaborating with the local GTM team.
  • Manage virtual import Pedimentos, transferring raw materials and finished goods under rules 5.2.4 and 5.2.5, requiring at least 10 days a month from start to end to consolidate abroad sales under the virtual scenario.
  • Process Pedimentos F4s and F5s to change the status of temporary imports and meet deadline requirements.
  • Check all relevant invoices and provide them to Finance.
  • Education: College degree required; Foreign Trade or related field preferred.
  • Proficient in Windows and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Minimum experience of 3 years.
  • Exhibit moral integrity and reliability.
  • Willingness to deliver sound control activities.
  • Exceptional work ethic - must be a self-starter and willing to do what it takes to complete tasks.
  • Must be high energy, service-oriented, team-oriented, and results-focused.
  • Ability to lead improvement teams and projects.
  • Ability to interact with various departments (accounting, sales, customer service, etc.).
  • Ability to work cooperatively with others.
  • Ability to coordinate several tasks concurrently.
  • Ability to field emergency calls outside of typical working hours as needed.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills.
