Responsibilities
The Opportunity
This position is responsible for coordinating, reviewing and consolidating all Latam Tax Reporting related activities under FAS109 (ASC740) in HFM; consolidating and reporting all tax requirements to Corporate Tax; providing technical tax accounting support to the sector; assisting in corporate tax projects.
Your Impact
As Tax Cntrl & Rpt Sr Coordinator your functions would consist of:
- Coordinate and guide the sector to prepare monthly, quarterly and annually tax schedules and clear validation errors in HFM reporting for actual and forecast process.
- Review tax schedules and provide technical support to field for issues identified. Support includes technical ASC740 accounting, FIN 48 concepts, system issues such as HFM reporting, SmartView and retrieve functions.
- Prepare consolidated analyses required by Corporate Tax and Corporate Control such as:
- NOPBT tax and ETR
- YTD cash tax and forecast for rest of year
- I/C and R/E transfer matching
- Non-U.S. FIN48 reported by countries
- OCI and tax on OCI (e.g. FAS158, FAS133, etc.)
- Provision to return adjustment by entity
- Accrued income tax payable roll forward
- Assist with questions and information requests from Corporate Tax.
Qualifications
Who Are We Looking For?
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is mandatory.
Experience
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in general accounting roles or similar tax positions.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish). English level of 70% (reading, writing, conversational).
- Previous systems experience working with SAP & HFM is mandatory.
- Knowledge in basic accounting rules.
- Knowledge in ASC740 (FAS109) is mandatory.
- Knowledge in USGAAP and MEXGAAPS desirable.
- Previous experience working actively in automation processes desirable.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, data analysis, macros).
- Highly organized and methodical individual who pays attention to details.
- Must be proactive and be able to work with minimal supervision.
- Interpersonal and communication skills are required as individual will be required to interact with employees of all levels and different countries.
- Ability to work under pressure and in stressful environments to adhere to strict deadlines.
Differentiating Competencies Required:
- Understand the business activities in order to collaborate with the OU's.
- Understand the FAS 109 tax schedules in HFM.
