About The DevOps Team

The DevOps team at Stori plays a crucial role in supporting the entire tech team by ensuring that both server and cloud infrastructure, along with the necessary tools, are in place to enable smooth, uninterrupted operations. The team is responsible for maintaining a stable, scalable, and secure environment, allowing the tech teams to focus on development, innovation, and delivering quality solutions. By managing on-premise servers, cloud resources, automating workflows, and providing tools for continuous integration and deployment, the DevOps team ensures that the broader tech team can work efficiently and resolve issues swiftly when they arise.

Must Have

What we are looking for:

1. Proven experience (5+ years) managing and maintaining Windows and Linux servers.
2. Hands-on experience with Java Application Servers, including deployment, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
3. Experience with Active Directory for user and resource management.
4. Experience with VMware for virtualization and managing virtual environments.
5. Experience with monitoring and observability tools for proactive infrastructure management.
6. Experience with automation tools like Ansible (or similar), for configuration management and task automation.
7. Networking knowledge.
8. Excellent troubleshooting skills for diagnosing and resolving server and network issues.

Nice To Have

1. Database administration experience.
2. Experience working within financial institutions or handling infrastructure for financial services is a plus.
3. Knowledge of AWS cloud services and experience with hybrid cloud environments is a plus.
4. Certifications such as VMwareVCP, Oracle OCA, AWS CCP.

About The Role

As a System Administrator, your primary duty will be to monitor, maintain, and improve the performance, reliability, and security of our on-premise server infrastructure. You will ensure that all systems run smoothly by addressing any potential issues through continuous monitoring and troubleshooting problems as they arise. You will play a key role in maintaining server uptime, performing regular maintenance, and debugging infrastructure issues to minimize downtime. While your focus will be on on-premise infrastructure, you will also be responsible for handling specific cloud-based tasks, such as configuring cloud environments, monitoring resource usage, and ensuring proper integration between on-premise and cloud systems. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams such as engineering, IT, and security to ensure that both on-premise and cloud infrastructure remain stable and secure. Additionally, you will be responsible for analyzing opportunities for automation and optimization within the on-premise infrastructure, prioritizing those with the highest impact, and leading the implementation efforts alongside key stakeholders. This position requires onsite presence in CDMX and the ability to work within an on-call team that provides 24x7 support to address urgent requirements or issues as they arise.

You Will Be Responsible For

1. Server Infrastructure Management: Ensure the smooth functioning of the on-premise server infrastructure by diagnosing and resolving any performance or accessibility issues. This includes managing and maintaining Java application servers, ensuring they are optimized for performance, and troubleshooting any application-level issues that may arise. Perform routine system enhancements and modifications to align with project or organizational needs, including patching, upgrading, and expanding the infrastructure as required.
2. Proactive Monitoring: Continuously monitor server systems, including Java application servers, to detect potential issues before they escalate. Utilize monitoring tools to ensure optimal performance across the infrastructure and take corrective actions as needed to prevent service disruptions.
3. System Compatibility and Maintenance: Ensure compatibility between various systems by applying necessary patches, upgrades, and configurations. Support the creation of new infrastructure on demand, including Java-based environments, and ensure seamless integration with existing systems.
4. Backup, Security, and Redundancy: Implement and maintain strategies for effective data backup, infrastructure security, and system redundancy. Safeguard the infrastructure and Java application servers by establishing best practices for data protection and recovery planning.
5. Documentation: Maintain detailed and comprehensive documentation of all systems, including Java application servers, changes, configurations, and processes. Ensure that documentation is up to date to support troubleshooting, auditing, and any future system upgrades or modifications.

Your mission will be to support the DevOps team in developing and maintaining a robust, secure, and scalable server infrastructure that aligns with the company’s strategic objectives. You will ensure the infrastructure is optimized for performance, reliability, and security, enabling the company to scale efficiently while supporting continuous operations. Your work will contribute to seamless system performance and informed decision-making across all technical environments.
