Job Description - Supply Chain Project Manager (1 year contract) (009C1O)

The Supply Chain Project Manager (1 year position) is responsible for developing, selling, and executing commodity growth projects aligned to the North America region. Initiatives include securing growth, mitigating supply risk, and/or improving product costs, including the transfer of suppliers, supply base optimization, and quality & value engineering changes.

This position executes a solid pipeline of projects from start to finish through innovative and effective project management practices, partnering with our plants and cross-functions, and coaching the procurement/deployment organization in project & program management best practices.

Responsibilities of the Project Management role:

  1. Ability to prioritize & execute a project pipeline based on key Supply Chain-related attributes.
  2. Ability to execute multiple projects simultaneously.
  3. Maintain full involvement of all stakeholders and plants potentially impacted to achieve the goals.
  4. Implement Agile mindset/frameworks for program & portfolio planning.
  5. Lead activities and workshops that transform programs into rapid execution & simplification.
  6. Maintain proper follow-up on project deliverables and program strategy across the project management team.
  7. Ensure compliance with communication plans with all stakeholders.
  8. Effectively communicate and escalate project progress, challenges, and compliance with internal processes and business stakeholders.
  9. Present program strategy to VP and Director levels to secure funding, resources, and overall support from cross-functions such as Engineering, Quality, Plant Managers, Procurement, and Supply Chain Leaders.

Qualifications

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering and/or Business.
  • Fully Bilingual in English/Spanish (written and oral).
  • 3+ years proven experience in Supply Chain Project Management, especially with commodities related to electronics products such as SPDs, PCBAs, DCS, HDPMs, etc.
  • Previous experience in Procurement, Engineering, Manufacturing, or Supply Chain areas.
  • Proactive, dynamic, self-driven, able to achieve results via influence and strong communication skills.
  • Seeks solutions beyond his/her own frame of reference.
  • Availability to travel internationally (Valid Passport and USA Visa).
  • Knowledge of Agile and its frameworks, especially Scrum.
  • Experience handling ambiguity, change, and multiple conflicts to effectively prioritize tasks in a fast-paced work environment.

Desired Skills:

  • Interpretation of engineering specs, drawings, BOM (Bill of Material), cost modeling, and inventory volumes.
  • PMP Certification.
  • Masters in Business Administration or Supply Chain.
  • Experience implementing and leading Agile Transformations.
