Supplier Engineer

Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Lead Mexicali based VR activities and reporting to reduce quantity and improve aging, including identifying changes to specifications and drawings for review and implementation by SV Supplier Engineering.
• Lead Mexicali based activities to eliminate recurrent VRs including route cause investigation.
• Provide VR reporting for monthly quality review.
• Provide local SE support to key suppliers for day-to-day issue resolution, including chronic component shortage issues
• Avoid line stoppage due to lack of raw material, avoid LINE DOWN".
• Support SV projects to improve supply base business and manufacturing process performance to meet Intuitive Surgical’s requirements for supplier excellence using a collection of best practices in project management, Six Sigma, Lean, SPC and negotiation.
• Support SV led supplier change management projects.
• Effectively prioritize and advance multiple concurrent projects and tasks.
• Clearly communicate project status to key stakeholders internally and in our supply chain.
