Job Functions and Responsibilities
- Provides design solutions to new requirements and bug fixes within an application.
- Leads collaboration with IS delivery lead and product owner.
- Have designs reviewed by ERB (Enterprise Review Board).
- Provide solutions strictly adhering to enterprise security, compliance, and legal standards.
- Provide solutions strictly adhering to enterprise design patterns and enterprise/industry best practices.
- Continuously provides solutions to improve application security, performance, resiliency, scalability, automation, maintainability, and cost savings.
- Drives digital transformation of legacy applications.
- Leads cloud migrations of applications off on-prem data center.
- Works with DevOps team for provisioning of infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines.
- Provides guidance and support for test automation, pen tests, performance, and chaos tests.
- Assist support teams with troubleshooting and provide solutions to production issues.
- Drives test automation, pen tests, performance, and chaos tests.
- Provide guidance to development and support teams.
- Provides guidance to developers on secure coding standards and vulnerability remediation.
- Promotes operational excellence through stable, supportable solutions.
- Supports operational readiness by using standard coding practices, supported platforms and components, and inclusive of monitoring tools/solutions in designs.
Required Skills:
- 7 to 10 years of experience in IT.
- 5+ years of experience in Architecture.
- 3+ years of experience of creating cloud solutions, preferably AWS.
- Experience with serverless cloud architectures.
- 5+ years of experience of hands-on API (REST/Graph)/microservices design and development (backend), preferably in Node.js, Python or Java.
- Hands-on experience with various developer and devops tools.
- Good understanding of various authentication and authorization frameworks (such as SAML 2.0, OpenID Connect, OAuth 2.0).
- Solid knowledge of API Managers or Gateways.
- Good understanding of messaging and streaming services like Kafka, Active MQ, Rabbit MQ, SQS, SNS.
- Solid knowledge of DevOps and CICD concepts.
- Experience of working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Skilled in designing highly resilient, highly scalable, cost-efficient, highly secure and easily maintainable application solutions.
- Expertise in troubleshooting various technical issues. Able to quickly troubleshoot production issues and provide solutions.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Obsession to provide solutions that are customer-centric.
- Basic understanding of technology infrastructure, network, compute, storage, and virtualization.
- Proven ability to quickly comprehend, learn and adopt new technologies.
- Solid understanding of production support concepts, importance of application observability/monitoring, and stable, supportable design concepts.
Strongly Preferred Skills:
- AWS Cloud Practitioner Certification
- Basic understanding of how Captive Finance not necessarily automotive industry would be good.
- Knowledge of vendor management, contract management, customer relationship management; project management skills; strong working knowledge of automotive business systems; oral and written communications skills; interpersonal skills; and conflict resolution skills.
- Basic understanding of BI/Data, Reporting and Analytics.
- Knowledge of Cloud Infrastructure (preferably AWS) and Services.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, forecasting, portfolio management and/or collaboration tools.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in a related discipline. Advanced degree preferred.
- Technical certifications a plus: AWS Cloud Practitioner Certification.
