About the role
The Sr Salesforce Developer will be part of the technology team providing business application solutions to enhance dealers' experience while doing business with GM Financial. Day to day activities will involve developing on the Salesforce.com platform, creating Lightning Web Components/Apex Classes and providing technical documentation. Responsibilities also include researching and implementing new technology solutions not necessarily limited to the Salesforce.com platform. The Senior Salesforce Developer is expected to perform day-to-day activities while staying in compliance to corporate standards and maintaining professionalism at all times.
What you need
- 5-7 years of salesforce experience. Advanced knowledge of Salesforce.com.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Management Information.
- Advanced working knowledge of reporting systems and languages to include SQL.
- Must have a good understanding of automotive, financial services or other highly-regulated industries.
- Must understand and embrace the principles of GM Financial.
- Ability to effectively interact with internal and external customers.
- Ability to manage assigned tasks and responsibilities with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stressful situations.
- Advanced analytical skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Good Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Project Management skills.
- Solid ability to select, lead, evaluate, and develop employees.

What you will be doing
- Research various internal requests to determine appropriate course of action and follow through to resolution.
- Maintain thorough understanding of data and information resources and technical requirement documentation.
- Utilize technical aspects within Salesforce such as Apex triggers, classes and batch jobs.
- Develop enhancements to Salesforce.com and related systems.
- Provide ongoing technical support of existing integrated Salesforce applications.
- Analyze and identify technical needs within Salesforce and Website integration.
- Lead the design for integration of SFDC. Design and develop solutions in LWC and Apex. Conduct technical process, design and build reviews with the engineering team.
- Leadership of technical objectives relevant to implementation, design for specifications, and running technical architecture meetings.
- Evangelize best practice implementation experience of SFDC and Force.com implementations.
- Conduct “Whiteboard” sessions to define roadmap of implementations with key business and IT owners, and lead meetings to derive key requirements and demonstrate potential solutions with SFDC.
- Meet expectations and deliverables on time.
- Be a self-starter and operate as an individual for quick turnaround of enhancements and fixes.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
