Sr Project Engineer (3D Mechanical Design)

This is a position with grade 13. This position reports to Operations Manager.

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to be a design authority for an engineering discipline. Each day, you will complete assignments on multiple projects of moderate size or portions of major projects in a cost-effective manner. You will also showcase your expertise by ensuring assignments are completed in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and cybersecurity policies and standards. The work model for the role is: This role is contributing to the Electrification Distribution Solutions in San Luis Potosi. You will be mainly accountable for:

1. Develop new concept/solutions in 3D to be incorporated into the MV SWG product family.
2. Applies Design Thinking / Design for Excellence concepts in MV projects, including modelling, proto-typing, simulations, and calculations.
3. Develops, selects, and applies standard techniques, procedures, and tools to ensure that engineering activities comply with required safety regulations and contractual requirements.
4. Work with multicultural teams to develop the next generation of Switchgears.

Qualifications For The Role

1. Bachelor’s in mechanical engineering (desirable), electro-mechanical / mechanical-electrician engineer or similar.
2. 5 Years of Experience in 3D Mechanical Design.
3. Solid works (sheet metal) or CREO (sheet metal) or AutoCAD proficiency.
4. Excel proficiency.
5. Electrical knowledge or experience is plus.
6. Advanced English required.
