Job Description
- Manages the setting direction and implementation of VCS Verticals and Working Capital Solutions strategies & commercial plans for LAC with a strong focus in Mexico to grow B2B payments penetration and Visa’s market share in the Verticals segment & business targets through growing the existing business and through new business opportunities.
- Establish, develop, and manage the relationship between Visa and VCS clients, prospects, partners & enablers at the same time and country and Regional Level.
- Manage Verticals and Working Capital Solutions targets (Agro, Mining, Distribution, etc.), revenue generation & pipeline. Monitor business results, anticipate challenges, and take proactive measures to accomplish commercial targets.
- Identify, size, and prioritize new business development opportunities in Verticals and Working Capital Solutions and take accountability for and manage the project evaluation & execution of these.
- Lead strategic country-wide initiatives (LAC) to expand B2B payables & receivables programs with issuers, acquirers, processors, enablers, and Visa teams securing last mile execution and program performance.
- Assess market needs, define, prioritize, and lead key Verticals and Working Capital Solutions go-to-market activities with key Visa stakeholders across multiple work streams highlighting plans, risks, and dependencies.
- Position as sales lead & subject matter expert in Verticals, Working Capital Solutions, and Accounts Payables & Receivables.
- Work with cross-functional internal teams in multiple regions to expand necessary functionality, address barriers, and secure funding needed to advance key initiatives.
- Develop strategic partnerships to bring creative Verticals and WCS solutions to market, amplify impact, and accelerate speed-to-market.
- Actively monitor trends & developments in Verticals and WCS payments and commerce, develop opinions and ideas on their implications for Visa, and socialize internally and externally with key stakeholders.
- Work closely with Products and Solutioning teams, Innovation Designers, and Implementations teams to identify the right themes, partners, and B2B user experiences to rapidly prototype, secure go-to-market, and commercialization.
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
Qualifications
Candidate should bring at least 8 years of relevant experience in the Business payments space and/or wholesale small business banking (cash management, supplier payments, invoice processing, electronic invoicing, supply chain financing, procurement, treasury, financial operations, business travel, Specialized Banking (Agricultural, Mining, Logistic, etc.).
At least 5 years in Specialized Banking into wholesale (Agro, Fleet, Mining, Supply chain, B2B Travel).
Ideally, experience in Payments Ecosystems creation.
Ideally, experience in the commercialization of solutions for businesses of all sizes and across Verticals use cases.
Ideally, product management or consulting investment banking role.
Experience evaluating a technology landscape preferably within payments and commerce.
Passion for technology, futurist view, and intellectually curious.
Experience working in project-driven environments and matrix reporting.
Bilingual English/Spanish.
