Sr HSE Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION

Provide support in the development stages of manufacturing processes in their concept and design phases to contribute to ensuring that HSE control methodologies have been integrated into the design. Support in the development of the risk analysis of the processes. Actively adopt the Sustainable Opportunities (HSE) policy, core and site-specific rules. Display a high level of personal compliance with HSE related policies and standards.

Participates in environmental management processes, including chemical management, waste, permitting, and pollution prevention activities. Conducts HSE training activities for employees in accordance with the previously established program. Complete assigned activities in a timely manner. Identify areas of opportunity in reducing the company's degree of risk. Comply with the metrics applicable to your position linked to the SQDCP objectives (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Inventory).

Key Responsibilities

1. Comply with the procedures applicable to the position regarding HSE.
2. Participate in the development and control of safety, hygiene, and environmental programs based on corporate standards.
3. Support in updating the necessary HSE procedures based on corporate standards.
4. Collaborate in activities for the proper management of hazardous waste.
5. Participate in a risk assessment program and its communication.
6. Audit the conditions of the safety, hygiene, and environment programs.
7. Support compliance with the regulatory requirements of HSE Government Entities.
8. Collaborate in the investigation of accidents, illnesses, and spills.
9. Organize and promote awareness and prevention campaigns for environmental, safety, and hygiene risks.
10. Contribute to the implementation of the Program as a safe company, clean industry, and any other HSE volunteer initiatives.
11. Execute actions related to voluntary compliance programs such as ELSSA, PASST, Clean Industry, PROCAVECH.
12. Operation, maintenance, and improvement of the HSE management system through the fulfillment of daily activities.

YOU MUST HAVE

1. English 85% be able to maintain a conversation.
2. Completed University Degree – Title.
3. 5+ Years of experience.
4. Experience in managing legal procedures in health, safety, and environment.
5. Experience in contractor and maintenance risk management.
6. Experience in leading groups such as emergency brigades, safety, or ergonomics commissions.
7. Experience in problem solving, risk analysis, incident management, and correction.
8. Basic quality principles: 5y's, Root Cause, Fishbone.
