Principal Accountabilities
In addition to the following Epson's policies and procedures, principal accountabilities include, but are not limited to:
- Reviews complex daily orders placed on export hold, recommends release, and approves orders (e.g., regulated chemicals, denied persons/countries, controlled software).
- Assists with tariff classification research for imported/exported products.
- Collaborates with Product Management and Customer Account Services to resolve supply chain issues.
- Clears inbound and outbound shipments using appropriate system programs.
Compliance
- Maintains the company’s low-risk importer status with US Customs by ensuring adequate customs compliance controls exist.
- Audits import/exports files for accuracy.
- Coordinates with warehouses regarding delivery orders and container pick-up.
- Ensures all necessary documents are available and properly handled to facilitate the nationalization process and meet company requirements.
- Communicates the availability and release of merchandise to expedite the billing process.
Administrative Support
- Coordinates with freight forwarders regarding export documentation and completeness of shippers' export declarations (SED) as needed.
Minimum Experience Requirements
B - Requires some specialist or admin experience (2-5 years).
Education
D - Completion of an undergraduate program or equivalent experience (B.A. or B.S.).
