Your Team Responsibilities

The Sr. Associate, Digital Marketing will own specific digital marketing journeys supporting one of MSCI’s core lines of business. Serve as a subject matter expert and consultation on behalf of the digital team, fielding questions and collaborating with other marketing partners.

Informed by MSCI strategy - this candidate will be responsible for mapping the client journey within their portfolio and identifying the right marketing delivery channels, KPIs, and levers to optimize campaigns to meet business objectives. The MSCI digital ecosystem is broad and includes paid, earned, and owned channels (inclusive of the authenticated web space).

This position plays a critical role in driving growth for the MSCI lines of business, such as Analytics, Climate & Sustainability, and Indexing. By achieving this growth, this role will help to move the marketing function from a support to a growth catalyst in the organization.

The ideal candidate will be a growth marketing expert with proven experience in building and managing B2B marketing campaigns, delivering results and building credibility across the organization. Having an entrepreneurial spirit and appetite to reapply expertise in a high-growth environment will be vital in being successful in the role.

Reporting to the Vice President of Digital Marketing Optimization and Performance, who reports up to the Global Head of Digital Marketing Experience, this individual will be joining an organization that is growing at an extraordinary pace driven by product innovation and expansion of client use cases. The marketing and communications organization is a key player in driving the company’s ambitious growth plans and as such plays a key role in the company strategy definition and implementation. He / she will partner with the Product Marketing, Brand, and Content teams based across several locations.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Own the digital marketing strategy and planning for one of MSCI’s core lines of business
  • Use data and analytics to distill client insights and inform client segmentation
  • Design, execute, and optimize ABM lifecycle marketing initiatives to activate customers and drive deeper engagement and conversion
  • Create detailed customer journey flows to identify optimal moments that drive conversion and engagement leveraging data
  • Collaboratively develop an A/B testing and experimentation roadmap
  • Analyze performance insights to identify opportunities for optimization, and develop strategies to elevate programs on an ongoing basis
  • Serve as the expert on lifecycle marketing trends and emerging technology
  • Partner with product marketing to develop the lifecycle plan according to the strategic needs
  • Partner with brand/content team to guide the type of content needed across the channel mix
  • Collaborate with the Sales Enablement team to move qualified leads to the coverage team
  • Collaborate with Analytics Team and Product Marketing to drive learning agendas for line of business
  • Track and report on performance results versus objectives

Your skills and experience that will help you excel:

  • 5+ years of experience in B2B SaaS digital marketing or ad ops role
  • Experience in financial services institutional marketing and/or tech is a plus
  • Expert level in-platform marketing skills in LinkedIn, Google Ads or DemandBase
  • Understands how to build a measurement plan and review metrics to bring forward useful insights
  • Fluency with digital ad channel data, metrics, measurement and analytics – is able to discuss results with stakeholders and engage with the analytics team effectively
  • Entrepreneurial spirit – prepared to act like an owner and drive growth in assigned LOB
  • Adaptable and able to work in a changing, matrix work environment.
  • Ability to give concise, compelling verbal presentations to key decision-makers, and to respond quickly and thoughtfully to challenges and pushback in a meeting.
  • Ability to handle significant workload with strong project management skills to meet aggressive deadlines.
  • Previous success in a similar position at an organization(s) renowned for Marketing and Sales excellence.
  • Experience in creating and executing effective programs to grow sales, traffic, and/or engagement.
  • Possessing relationship and interpersonal skills as well as managing multidisciplinary teams (indirect or direct) to meet strategic objectives
  • Organized, detail-oriented and capable of advancing projects simultaneously.
  • Global experience across North American, European, and Asian markets is a bonus
