Objective of the position:
Ensure Production Requirements by Planning, Analyzing, Implementing and providing manufacturing technical support in the area of tool & die, machining, laser cutting, welding, assembly fixtures, painting and various manufacturing equipment and processing for metal parts. Meeting current and future product specifications and parameters including operation cost, production cycle time, quality, material flow impacts, by always considering the environmental, safety and ergonomics aspects that the operation may require in order to achieve production requirements.
As a manufacturing engineer, you will be an expert in various facets of production and manufacturing, such as process design, ergonomics, capacity analysis, simulation tools, investment strategies and cost analysis. Supporting the creation of standards for RFQs, RFIs, and technical specifications.
Indispensable Requirements (Candidates who do not meet these requirements may be discarded):
- Understand Manufacture /Production Processes.
- Experience working with punching, welding, bending & painting.
- PC MS software and CAD systems (Ex. AUTOCAD).
- Experience in Capex / Opex projects.
- Production or Engineering experience.
- Tool & Die, Metal forming & fixture experience.
- Knowledge of tooling & dies, steel, aluminum properties.
- Drawing Interpretation / Statistical control and Analysis.
- Knowledge and experience of Lean Six Sigma tools.
- English level: Intermediate- Advanced

Academic Knowledge: Bachelors Degree in mechanical, industrial, electrical, mechatronic or similar engineering. 2+ years of experience in similar positions.
Main Functions:- Define, develop, implement and standardize manufacturing processes with respect to current parts, new parts (change or transfer of parts), ensuring safety, quality and efficiency.
- Define proper tools, documentation and training in order to achieve the highest quality at the lowest tooling and component costs. Provide manufacturing technical support by performing ongoing capacity analysis on part manufacturing for machine centers, cutting laser, assembly pools, etc.
- Provide technical support to production associates to resolve delivery and quality issues related to methods, processes, tooling, equipment and product design. Ensure that the information contained in the procedures, documents and what is done in the plant is compatible with the technical documentation.
- Analyze and determine Plant Capacity by defining machinery and equipment distribution based on production requirements and considering process analysis in order to have all balanced processes.
- Identify and recommend opportunities for improvement in plant layout, material flow, and part manufacturing plant logistics to improve current and new flows. Implement layouts, systems, equipment and forms of operation. Execute Continuous Process Improvement activities to bring processes to the highest level of economic performance. Propose cost reduction initiatives in the operation. Exercise and promote the 5's + 1 and participate in improvement.
- Coordinate the timely development of tools/dies, fixtures, manufacturing equipment, work cell layouts and methods, routings and time standards. Manage any make/buy projects; consider outsourcing costs, freight and logistical cost.
- Define, develop and implement processes for current and new products. Implementation of engineering changes, new parts, transfers from other plants, ensuring safety, quality and efficiency.
- Define and coordinate the necessary resources that can allow to maintain all processes working properly and implement all new processes needed.
