Your role at Baxter:

As part of Baxter's digital transformation initiative, a solution architect will fulfill a key role in designing and implementing comprehensive technology solutions that address specific business needs of the Global, Business Segments, and Site Quality Organizations. System/solution architects work closely with collaborators, developers, and IT professionals to build a unified and efficient system that aligns with the organization's strategic goals. They should have a detailed knowledge of various technologies.

What you’ll be doing:

• Executive-level strategic advisors who focus on business transformation.
• Defining and detailing the overall solution architecture to ensure alignment with business objectives and requirements.
• Working together with business analysts, project managers, end-users, and process owners to comprehend their needs and requirements for technology solutions.
• Solving sophisticated, large-scale end-user process requirements to produce solutions that improve end-user process execution and efficiency.
• Evaluating various technologies and platforms and selecting the most appropriate technologies and platforms for the solution while considering cost, performance, and compatibility with existing infrastructure.
• Communicating design tradeoffs to collaborators and establishing a delivery framework for ensuring system quality and success.
• Crafting and upholding architectural guidelines and effective practices.
• Ensuring that the solution meets performance, scalability, and security requirements while continuously seeking opportunities for improvements.
• Offering mentorship and support to development teams to assist them in implementing solutions and resolving any issues.
• Identifying and mitigating potential risks and issues related to the solution to ensure project success.
• Connecting with various teams to ensure a cohesive approach to the project.

What you'll be having:

• A bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
• 8 years of experience in software development, systems engineering, or similar IT role.
• Proven understanding of various technologies, platforms, and architectural patterns.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in coordinating and collaborating with complementary teams.
• Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools.

Nice to have:

• Experience working with medical devices.
