Job title: Social Media & Marketing Assistant, Zipcar UK

Location: Hybrid: 4 days office and 1 day from home (Victoria, London)

Position: Full Time

The ideal candidate will be a proactive self-starter wanting to make their mark on our external and member communications whilst working alongside a small, collaborative team. This is a hands-on role, requiring creativity alongside a willingness to take initiative and get stuck in.

Responsibilities:

  1. Own the ideation and creation of content for all organic social media channels, from filming and editing to the captioning of social posts.
  2. Work with the Head of Marketing to devise the overarching social media content strategy.
  3. Own the creation of the content calendar and scheduling of posts across all organic social media channels.
  4. Lead on influencer content creation to be used across organic and paid social media.
  5. Produce regular social media performance reports, including setting benchmarks and targets across all platforms.
  6. Plan, shoot and edit social videos to be used across Zipcar UK’s advertising on social media (Meta, TikTok, YouTube).
  7. Collaborate with the Paid Media Marketing specialists to set live own and partner content on paid social media channels.
  8. Community management alongside the marketing manager and member services team to ensure a consistently high level of communication to all members.
  9. Support marketing team throughout the process of creating brand assets, including briefing and organising photo and video shoots, as well as various other creative projects.
  10. Support wider marketing team with content creation including for email and website.
  11. Sourcing marketing partners and assisting with the delivery of partnership campaigns.
Required skills:

  1. Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent, in marketing, business or a relevant field is preferable.
  2. Prior experience working in a marketing or social media-based role is preferable.
  3. Excellent creative skills and an innovative mindset, with prior knowledge or willingness to learn Adobe Creative Cloud tools.
  4. In-depth knowledge of, and experience on social media platforms eg. Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok.
  5. Ability to plan, shoot and edit – generally produce – high quality, creative and on-brand social media assets (photos, videos).
  6. Excellent communication skills across a variety of stakeholders, both written and verbal.
  7. Can-do attitude with a willingness to roll up your sleeves and get the job done!
