The Opportunity:

Our client, a manufacturing facility located in Mexico, has partnered with ML6 in their search for a Logistics Manager to join their team! In this role, you will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing the logistics operations of the company. Responsible for supervising and coordinating all activities related to the shipping and receiving of goods. Fluency in English and Spanish is essential for effective communication with both local and international suppliers.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Supervising and directing personnel involved in shipping operations.
  • Designing and managing the shipping plan to ensure products arrive on time and in the right condition.
  • Preparation and review of shipping documentation
  • Supervise the loading and unloading of products, ensuring that proper procedures are followed and that there is no damage to the merchandise.
  • Report and follow up on incidents that occur during the unloading of raw materials.
  • Comply with the program for shipping finished products in a timely manner according to the procedure.
  • Verify that the documents that support the articles that were shipped are generated according to company policies.
  • Verify that the transport units have the conditions and reviews according to the certification programs of the company.
  • Send the shipment information to the corresponding areas.
  • Control the shipping release times.
  • Controlling and maintaining product inventory, ensuring there is enough stock to fulfill orders without excess stock that generates unnecessary costs.
  • Ensuring inventory records are up to date, and products shipped match what is recorded in the management system.
  • Negotiating with and maintaining good relationships with transportation and logistics service providers to ensure competitive pricing and efficient service.
  • Ensuring all shipments comply with local and international rules and regulations, including documentation and customs.
  • Resolving any issues that arise during the shipping process, such as delays, damage to merchandise, or documentation issues.
  • Analyzing and improving shipping processes to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies related to materials, logistics, and international trade.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory and transportation activities.
  • Prepare reports and metrics related to materials and logistics operations for management review.

What You'll Need to Be Successful:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Bilingual, Spanish and English
  • Proven experience in logistics, with a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Shipping Manager.
  • Strong knowledge of customs regulations and international transport, inventory control, and warehouse management principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in both English and Spanish.
  • Proficiency in using materials management systems and software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Attention to detail and a focus on accuracy.
