Senior Project Leader

Plans, organizes, and controls the project/ sub-projects with marginal complexity (project classification class E), risk, impact and reach.

Job Description

In your new role you will:

• Plans, organizes, and controls the project/ sub-projects with marginal complexity (project classification class E), risk, impact and reach.
• Manages a small project team with members from multi functional groups.
• Manages and controls the entire project life-cycle and ensures hand-over to sustaining function.
• Organizes the activities and resources needed for the project to ensure timely release of each milestone.
• Is fully responsible for all operational decisions in the project and for the successful achievement of all project targets (time, quality, cost and budget).
• Key communication interface (for project related matters), representing Back End to other Infineon Divisions (e.g. Business lines, Central Functions e.g. Finance, PTI, FE Fabs, etc).
• Forms and leads the project team and assigns responsibilities within project to Project Managers of sub-projects and Project Members.
• Uses IFX project management tools to structure projects, control progress and for reporting and documentation.
• Drives problem solving activities within the project using standard Ifx trouble shooting methodologies, e.g. 8D, 5 Whys, etc.
• Continuously focuses on project quality, assesses progress and ensures that goals are met even in the face of challenges.
• Monitors changes against original project goals and seeks advice/approval for adapting plans.

Your Profile

You are best equipped for this task if you have:

• Masters / Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Semiconductor Technology, Microelectronics, Automation, Mechanical, Electrical, Physics, etc).
• Project Management Professional Certification, preferred.
• Basic project management knowledge in terms of project initiation, planning and closing including reporting and documentation.
• Basic knowledge in semiconductor engineering and operation.
• Good communication skills.
• Good aptitude for collaboration, people management, negotiation and solution finding.
• Able to lead team to solve basic problems (using 8D, Is-Is Not, FMEA, etc).
