Schneider Electric has an opportunity for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer in our Apodaca, Nuevo León location.
Develop and/or support application designs for manufacturing equipment for GSC Plant based on internal SE standards.
What do you get to do in this position?
Realizes overview diagram and time cycle of an automatized process.
Performs conceptual and detailed design of new equipment or modifications to existing engineering.
Writes mechanical functional analysis and design calculation notes.
Applies safety, ergonomics, and environmental principles during design development.
Develops mechanical 3D assembly design and drawings.
Provides support during assembly, debugging, calibration, qualification, and production running-up with electrical and automation engineer.
Develops documentation package for project.
May provide mentoring, instructions/assistance to lower levels.
Understands applications, features, and benefits of Schneider Electric and complementary products.
Provides technical support and customer service (willing to travel up to 30%).

This job might be for you if:
Education: Mechanical / Mechatronics - Bachelor’s degree or related field.
Job Related Experience: More than 5 years of experience in Customized Design of Automatic machines.
Well knowledge and experience of equipment setup and qualification.
Good understanding of manufacturing processes such as electrical testing, automatic assembly, palletizing, pick and place systems, vision inspection systems.
Good understanding of manufacturing processes including turning, milling, and welding.
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities (both English and Spanish).
