Meaningful Work From Day One

Serve as a business partner with the corporation and its operating units within the Corporate Accounting Group performing financial accounting and analysis with a focus on communicating quantitative and qualitative information in a clear, accurate, and timely manner.

What You Can Expect

  • Perform financial accounting, reporting, and analysis for assigned corporate groups (Benefits, Compensation, Legal, Risk Management, and AR Accounting Support).
  • Execute month-end and year-end accounting and closing activities, including detailed account analysis and reconciliations.
  • Assist with centralizing accounting activities at the corporate level (e.g., brand expense accrual accounting, balance sheet account reconciliations).
  • Help ensure appropriate internal controls are in place and maintain compliance with corporate financial policies.
  • Utilize Brown-Forman systems (Business Warehouse, SAP, Access, and Excel) to retrieve, analyze, and manage financial data.
  • Manage legal fee accounting and risk management accounting.
  • Support expat accounting, relocation expense accounting, and miscellaneous compensation and benefit accounting.
  • Assist with analyzing balance sheet fluctuations and preparing journal entries and reconciliations.
  • Contribute to maintaining finance policies, FAQs, and process improvement projects.
  • Assist in the execution of special projects as needed.

What You Bring to the Table

  • CPA certification or CPA candidate status.
  • Must be a team player with the ability to build partnerships and effective relationships.
  • Possess strong intellectual curiosity, problem-solving, and conceptual skills.
  • Comfortable adapting to changes in the work environment, working under pressure, and meeting tight deadlines.
  • Demonstrate a strong sense of accountability and ownership.
  • Working knowledge or willingness to learn and understand US GAAP and apply it practically.
  • Exhibit superior attention to detail with top-notch accuracy and the ability to validate and analyze large datasets.
  • Proficient in Google Suite, Microsoft Excel (including advanced functions like pivot tables and V-lookups) and PowerPoint.
