The team you will be a part of
The Material Management team is responsible for inventory audits and maintaining inventory at optimum levels. Develops procedures to enhance the effectiveness of inventory control programs. Coordinates with relevant departments to schedule, audit, and reconcile periodic physical inventories. Oversees incoming shipments of merchandise to ensure that inventory is accurate, updated and provided according to schedules.
This Role In Summary
Ensure, supervise, and manage, in accordance with the established Safety and WCM standards, the internal supply chain for materials through the designated Kan Ban systems, to the point of use in the precise quantities and deadlines, in order to prevent interruptions in the production line, and material deficiencies.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Manage personnel under your charge, including payroll, overtime, vacations, and disciplinary actions.
- Supervise and ensure the execution and collection of SCRAP generated by the supply chain and production processes.
- Ensure and guarantee the correct supply of materials to production through the current supply systems.
- Suggest improvements and implement them under the standards of the different types of Kaizen established by the WCM methodology, and also ensure that your team also executes improvements.
- Attend training sessions on the WCM methodology, achieve your engineer level objectives, and develop the rest of the team in WCM tools (Radar chart, Kaizen, etc.).
- Ensure and guarantee the strategies of inventory accuracy and reduction of RWIP (Raw Work in Process) online.
- Detect and implement improvement projects, including part unification, savings in production processes, improvement of mobile equipment flows, and changes in part presentation to eliminate waste and achieve the Golden Zone.
- Reduce impacts to AY (downtime) on production lines, online inventories, and the misuse of components to increase inventory accuracy.
- Foster teamwork for the generation of MEWOs (Management of Engineering Work Orders) and root cause analysis for reactive or preventive events that affect the line.
- Continuous improvement and energy efficiency of mobile equipment, energy-consuming tools, and waste segregation assigned by the supervisor (ISO 50001).
- Adhere to the established processes within our quality systems (ISO and OSHAS).
- Fulfill supervisory roles as needed, under the strict direction of the area manager.
- Identify, correct, and report any situation that may jeopardize the safety of individuals within the plant facilities.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of supply chain management, proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Apps, SAP, AutoCAD, KanBan Systems, and Continuous Improvement methodologies.

- Minimum of one year of relevant experience in a similar role, including personnel management and continuous improvement management systems.
- English: Intermediate to Advanced proficiency.
