Your role and responsibilities

  1. Handle security incidents in an end-to-end coverage in a 24x7x365 schema to ensure effective incident handling and avoid delays in solutions.
  2. Receive tickets from the automated integration between ticketing systems and manual incidents opened by CEMEX Security Organization, IT Heads, and third-party stakeholders.
  3. Open security-related tickets upon Cemex requirements in the ISM tool and in the VSOC portal.
  4. Track progress of open tickets.
  5. Provide escalation and exception handling for problems, consistent with IBM established procedures.
  6. Upon resolution of the problem request, close the ticket.

Required technical and professional expertise

  1. Bachelor’s degree in IT System or Telecom Engineering.
  2. Incident management process practitioner.
  3. Fluent in English.
  4. ITIL Foundations knowledge.
  5. Information Security Skills.
  6. Introductory level knowledge of COBIT.
  7. Basic knowledge in security incident handling processes and procedures.
  8. Familiarity with Microsoft Office Tools.
  9. Knowledge of security infrastructure from the operations perspective.
  10. Demonstrated interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
  11. Demonstrated written communication skills.
  12. Ability to handle multiple tasks.
  13. Sense of urgency.
  14. Objection handling skills.
  15. Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
  16. Highly focused on client needs.
  17. Demonstrated capability to analyze problems.
  18. Proficiency in MITRE AT&CK Framework.
  19. Demonstrated negotiation skills.

Preferred technical and professional experience

  1. Cybersecurity Threat Analysis.
  2. NIST 2.0 framework.
  3. CISSP knowledge.
