The Information Systems (IS) Technical Lead plays a critical role in the Americas SAP S4 technology product team and closely coordinates delivery efforts with the SCRUM Master and regional product owner. The IS Technical Lead is also responsible for developing a sound knowledge for researching, planning, coordinating, and recommending business, cost, strategy, software, and system choices to meet an organization's business requirements. The IS Technical Lead understands problems and opportunities in the context of the requirements and recommends solutions that enable the organization to achieve its goals.

Job Functions:

• The IS Technical Lead is an internal consultancy role responsible for investigating processes, technology, cost, and strategy while identifying options for improving and bridging the needs of the business with the use of Information Systems and Technology.
• Responsible for analyzing and documenting the Information Systems needs of clients to help identify problems and propose solutions.
• To liaise with the internal business departments and the providers of services to the enterprise, as well as potentially guide/manage other Technical Leads in this capacity.
• Manage incidents as they occur by working with multiple third-party vendors to ensure maintenance and support is carried out effectively among all parties.
• Understand, interpret, and suggest resolution to technical systematic issues and communicate these issues effectively to management and peers.
• Create and maintain the product backlog.
• Partner with the Product Owner and Scrum Master to ensure the project stays on track and delivers value to customers.
• The scope of analysis and delivery includes all business functions within a specific business domain.
• As necessary, perform any other relevant duties across different functional areas across regionally and globally to aid in the success of the organization.

• Working knowledge of eliciting requirements using interviews, document analysis, and requirements workshops.
• Strong analytical and product management skills required.
• Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers to analyze information needs and functional requirements.
• Work autonomously to set priorities with business users and resolve issues across business functions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs.
• Drive and challenge business units on their assumptions of how they will successfully execute their plans.
• Ability to interpret business logic and identify points of failure based on source code and/or error logs.
• Act as a liaison between vendors and the organization they represent.

Technologies and Competencies Experience:

• Client Server technologies – general understanding.
• Cloud/SaaS technologies (preferably AWS experience) - general understanding.

Possess proficiency in the following:

• Office 365 suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Access).
• Microsoft Windows operating system.
• Knowledge of Project Management methodologies like Agile and Kaizen is mandatory.
• Hands-on experience in Agile projects is mandatory.
• Responsible for preparing Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) for technology products.
• Prepare detailed Business Process flows and mapping.
• Participate in requirement sessions with business team, create user stories, define functional and non-functional acceptance criteria.
• Create detailed use cases for system and user acceptance testing.
• Hands-on experience with Project Management tools like JIRA, Confluence, or similar.
• Familiarity in RFI (Request for Information) / RFP (Request for proposal) processes.

Experience:

• 8+ Years overall IS/IT experience with at least:
• S4 HANA.
• 5+ years application implementation experience.
• 5+ years experience in working with third party vendors.
• Prior experience working with offshore personnel is a plus.
• Project management experience a plus.
• University Degree in computer science or related discipline.
• Advanced technical degree preferred.
