The Opportunity

This section requires a brief specific statement of why a position exists, i.e., the job’s major end result and ultimate purpose. The purpose of the Commercial Planning Innovation Analyst role is to collect, interpret, and present data that aids in making informed decisions. He/She is able to transform data into meaningful information that drives business outcomes and improves performance creating more streamlined processes, adding value to end-to-end Innovation launches. The analyst serves as a direct support for the Innovation Manager and a subject matter expert for the entire West Division with opportunity to create One Best Way.

Your Impact

As Sales Analyst your responsibilities would consist of:

  1. Data Collection: Gathers and organizes relevant information from internal and external sources, including sales data, market research, customer feedback support through customer manager, and financial performance.
  2. Data Analysis: Proactively identifies trends, patterns, and insights that support making informed decisions.
  3. Problem Solving: Analyzes data to identify issues or opportunities and recommends solutions or strategies to address them.
  4. Reporting: Drives efficiencies through the development, maintenance, and publishing of reporting tools. Presenting findings to stakeholders through reports, presentations, or dashboards, in a clear and actionable manner.
  5. Decision Support: Provides critical insights to management, helping them make strategic decisions or optimize business operations.
  6. Visual Aids: Provides support with developing visually engaging PowerPoint slides that effectively communicate key data, insights, and strategies.
  7. Communication: Utilizes strong verbal and written communication skills to clearly convey complex information to diverse audiences, including team members, leadership, and sector stakeholders (L07 - Bilingual).

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborates/ Partners with the Innovation Manager to provide innovation analysis and reporting for upcoming innovation launches (periodic, preparing for Push Weeks).
  2. Create/Develop/Publish reporting tools to assist markets and key accounts with executional opportunities and gap-closure initiatives.
  3. Collaborates effectively with cross-functional teams (Finance, Retail, Rev Growth Management, etc), providing feedback to achieve project objectives.
  4. Complete/ Assist with Innovation Forecasts as needed - ensuring adherence to the submission and revision process.
  5. Support Innovation Project Manager (IPM) and cross-functional teams on Division Initiatives.
  6. Provides post-launch analysis to identify key learnings to improve on future launches (data for presentation).
  7. Active Attendance in Division and Sector meetings - capturing notes/ updates and occasionally communicating West specific feedback as questions arise.
  8. Owns the West Division’s sampling distribution program and works in conjunction with Sector to ensure smooth execution and confidentiality.
  9. Manages/Updates the West Division Innovation Calendar - a division outlook on the National calendar, share out with Cross-functional partners to keep updated on changes; includes weekly newsletter updates.
  10. Develops/ Update the West Division’s annual Projections file (rolled out by Sector, then this role will update/customize for West Division).
  11. Owns the regular updating of the GIFT TEMPLATE/ AUTOMATED GIFT TEMPLATE/MATRIX files and works with the demand team during the annual review process; also includes updating the GIFT summary file week on Fridays.
  12. Partners with the Innovation Manager to create clear, concise data for slides with appropriate use of charts, graphs, and visuals to simplify complex information.
  13. Owns bi-annual process of ordering Innovation Boards and Decals for West Division locations.

Qualifications

Who Are We Looking For?

Education

Educational Background: Bachelor's degree or similar work experience.

Experience

  • Fluent in English.
  • Ability to operate/execute on their own and work autonomously.
  • Project Management: Proven experience in effectively managing projects and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • 3-4 years preferred of work experience within areas such as Project Management, Commercial, Innovation, Business Ops or Finance.
  • Ability to effectively interact and build a favorable business relationship with internal and external customers.
  • Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills in order to formulate effective action plans to deal with issues proactively.
  • Strong team player and committed to teamwork in all situations.
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage systems and tools.
  • Analytical & Financial Acumen: Creative problem-solving abilities and a knack for consolidating large datasets into concise, actionable insights.
  • Technical Proficiency: Highly proficient in Excel and excellent communication skills; familiarity with Microsoft Teams, PowerApps, Forms, PowerBI, Excel, Tableau, and IRI is a plus.
