Job Title: Remote Creative Design Lead (100% work from home)

Location: Remote from Latin America

Position Type: Full-time

Salary: $2,000 - 2,500 USD/month depending on experience paid via Deel or Gusto

Schedule: Monday-Friday, business hours US Central Time

Job Overview:

Our client is a marketing agency that provides performance marketing services to clients in agriculture, freight, natural resources, and more. As Design Lead you will spearhead their creative vision while managing both client projects and their internal design team. This dynamic role combines hands-on design work with strategic leadership, requiring someone who can both create exceptional work and guide others to do the same.

Responsibilities:

Client Project Leadership

  1. Serve as the lead designer for all Pay Dirt Digital projects, from initial brief to final delivery
  2. Lead client intake meetings to determine project objectives, scope, and creative direction
  3. Allocate design projects between your personal workload and the broader design team based on expertise and capacity
  4. Provide comprehensive internal review for all design projects before client presentation
  5. Track and analyze client feedback to continuously improve our design processes and outputs

Design Execution

  1. Create and oversee a diverse range of design projects including presentations, social media assets, landing pages, advertising, email templates, and printed collateral
  2. Ensure all deliverables meet both client brand guidelines and industry best practices
  3. Maintain consistent quality standards across all design work regardless of project size or scope
  4. Stay current with emerging design trends and technologies to keep our work innovative and effective

Team Leadership

  1. Mentor and develop our team of designers, providing clear direction and constructive feedback
  2. Establish design workflow processes that maximize efficiency without compromising quality
  3. Lead the identification and implementation of AI design tools to enhance productivity and creative capabilities
  4. Create and maintain design systems that allow for scalable, consistent output across the team
  5. Cultivate a network of specialized freelance designers to support peak workloads or niche project requirements

Brand Development

  1. Guide the evolution of Pay Dirt Digital's own brand identity and visual presence
  2. Maintain and update our website and marketing materials to reflect our growing capabilities
  3. Ensure all internal communications and presentations exemplify our design excellence
  4. Collaborate with leadership to define and express Pay Dirt Digital's unique value proposition through visual storytelling

Client Relationship Management

  1. Lead the design aspects of client onboarding, documenting their brand guidelines, visual preferences, and design objectives
  2. Build strong relationships with client-side creative stakeholders
  3. Translate client business goals into effective design strategies
  4. Proactively identify opportunities to add value through design beyond initial project scopes

Qualifications, Skills and Key Competencies:

Required Experience & Skills

  1. 5+ years of professional design experience with a proven portfolio across digital and print mediums
  2. 2+ years managing design teams or leading design projects
  3. Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (particularly Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
  4. Strong understanding of web design principles, UX best practices, and responsive design
  5. Experience implementing and utilizing AI design tools to enhance workflow efficiency
  6. Demonstrated experience working with B2B clients and understanding their unique needs
  7. Exceptional eye for detail and ability to spot inconsistencies in design work
  8. Perfect English language skills (written and verbal) with the ability to catch grammatical errors and typos
  9. Experience developing brand guidelines and ensuring consistent implementation
  10. Strong project management skills with ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Experience in a digital agency or in-house creative team for a B2B company
  2. Familiarity with marketing automation platforms and CRM systems
  3. Experience with motion design and video editing
  4. Experience hiring and evaluating freelance design talent
  5. Portfolio that demonstrates versatility across industries and project types
